Merchant affiliate integrations: WooCommerce, Shopify, Stripe and custom APIs

Each platform requires different authentication, events and readback. A valid webhook alone does not establish a valid commission. LearnAffiliates separates installation, transport, attribution, order verification and payout.

WooCommerce

Status: technical pilot. A merchant bridge ZIP has been built in the restricted Studio. The plugin supports signed partner references and order/refund event delivery, but requires a configured server receiver, merchant-specific secrets, consent integration and live order readback. Do not install on production without a controlled test.

Official WooCommerce webhook documentation

Shopify

Status: integration specification. A Shopify app must be authorized with the required scopes. Webhooks need raw-body HMAC validation, delivery-ID deduplication and authenticated order/refund readback. No live app is currently connected.

Shopify webhook verification

Stripe / SaaS

Status: integration specification. Subscription renewals, payment events, refunds and disputes must be reconciled with the right merchant account. Webhook signature verification and separate payout settlement evidence are required. No live Stripe account is connected.

Stripe webhook documentation

Custom server API

Status: adapter specification. Support a signed, idempotent event feed, merchant-bound credentials, safe destination URLs, original order readback and durable retry handling. Unknown providers require separate review.

OWASP SSRF guidance

What must be verified before activation?

  1. Verified merchant domain and platform authorization.
  2. Separate approved partner, property and promotion method.
  3. Signed click or coupon identity and lawful tracking.
  4. Paid order readback with currency and order-line details.
  5. Partial refunds, cancellations, chargebacks and duplicate deliveries.
  6. Commission validation and independent payout evidence.
  7. Retry, alerting and operational ownership.

Security note: Never place API keys, webhook signing secrets or customer payment information in public page content. Integration credentials belong in a merchant-scoped secret store.
